Warning: Even in "OFF" mode, 115V AC power is still present at the control board. Disconnect power before replacing to prevent electric shock!
Steps to Replace the Sub-Zero 4202810 Control Board:1.Remove the Light Diffuser:Before accessing the control board, the light diffuser must be removed.
For Sub-Zero 680 and 690 models, the reservoir tank cover must also be removed.
2.Extract the Enclosure:Unscrew the control enclosure from the ceiling or side wall.
Pull the enclosure straight back and then upward to release it.
3.Disconnect Electrical Leads:Unplug all connectors, including the membrane switch ribbon cable.
Important: Observe the orientation of the ribbon cable before disconnection.
4.Remove the Control Board:Expand the two side tabs on the module.
Lift the board’s back edge slightly, then pull it forward to remove it.
5.Reconnect the New Control Board:Ensure that the label on the ribbon cable terminal housing aligns with the arrow on the control board connector.
Failure to align properly may cause functional issues.
6.Reinstall the Control Enclosure:Carefully gather the ribbon cable slack inside the control panel.
Avoid kinking the ribbon cable as this can short-circuit the board.
Installation Tip: The LCD protective film must be removed before installation for proper display visibility.
