How to Locate and Replace Your Sub-Zero Water Filter

Replacing the water filter in your Sub-Zero appliance is an essential part of maintaining optimal performance and ensuring clean, fresh-tasting water. This guide will help you locate the water filter on various Sub-Zero models, understand when it needs replacement, and walk you through the steps to change it safely and efficiently.

Locating and Replacing the Water Filter on Different Models

Not all Sub-Zero products are equipped with a water filtration system.

Models from the 200/300, 500, 600, and 700 Series, as well as Undercounter units, Designer Drawers, and certain ice makers, do not include a water filter. After replacing the water filter, it is recommended to discard the first several glasses of water and the first two full containers of ice to ensure optimal water quality. Water filter replacement procedures vary depending on the filter type and model. Please refer to the instructions below for detailed, product-specific replacement steps.
