IMPORTANT INSTALLATION AND SIZE NOTE
This Sub-Zero 7042772 Slide Drawer Service Kit is not the same physical part as the earlier 7031885 Drawer Slide Assembly. The original repair part was supplied as an individual drawer slide, while 7042772 is an updated factory service kit designed to replace the drawer slide system as a complete service solution.

Because this is a revised Sub-Zero service kit, the new drawer slides may look larger or different in size when compared side by side with the older 7031885 slide. This size difference is expected and does not automatically mean the part is incorrect.

The official Sub-Zero installation procedure shows that the kit includes:

Assembly, wire cover
Drawer slide
Screws for the slide cover

During installation, the drawer front, freezer basket, slide covers, and old drawer slides must be removed. The wire cover in the back-left corner of the freezer must also be removed and replaced with the new wire cover assembly. The updated wire cover is notched to accommodate the larger drawer slides. After the new wire cover is installed, the new drawer slides are installed using the existing screws, and the original slide covers are reinstalled using the screws supplied with the kit.

Do not compare this updated kit to the old 7031885 slide by size only. The 7042772 kit is designed to be installed as a complete updated assembly, and the larger slide design works together with the included notched wire cover.

If you are replacing only one old-style drawer slide and the new part appears longer, wider, or shaped differently, this is part of the updated Sub-Zero service design. Proper installation requires following the kit instructions and replacing the related wire cover component included with the kit.
